Rakeman Broomer Arts : The AICR

Everything is ready to go for the release date of October 1st. I will also be sharing recording videos on social media throughout the month of October.

Click here to listen to it right now.

Important information: I did a little something with my voice for the eerier songs - making this album just a little more fun. And I also allowed my voice to be heard equally on this album. I am working towards being able to just use my own voice instead of a mix, but I am just not there yet. I may never be, but I am going to keep plugging away and giving it my best shot.

**These songs are for fun. They are dedicated to and for leaving behind something for my children (which always includes my daughter-in-laws and my daughter's significant other) and any future generations of grandchildren -- as all of my cognitive therapy songs are for them to enjoy and maybe even have a little "Mom" wisdom after I am gone, too.

They are a combination of my writing, my performing, and my lyrics as well as, "Hmmm, let's see what happens when I do this" playing around - (and then liking the song too much to redo the entire thing).

I have repurposed my lyrics from last year with better quality tracks. However, the tracks last year were kind of cool, too. So, I added them to this collection. I like them.

Some of the songs would be great for horror genre movies, too.

Anyway, I don't take myself too seriously. Singing, writing, and performing - and even the plain old just creating - are fun for me and they are helping me in my battle against MCI. They're a win-win no matter what way one slices it.

My hope is that people will enjoy this album and my other songs, too. I enjoy sharing them.

With a release date of September 17, 2026, commemorating the adoption of the U.S. Constitution, "Unpolished: Colors of Tears" will be available at midnight.

I've always been a fan of songs that give an emotional perspective and cultural pulse of the times that people experience throughout history. This collection consists of all of the ones I have written as well as a few that I have just created. I sing in all of them.

The cover art is a photo of unpolished me put to a photo I took of a moon rainbow from our backyard. I chose this specific background due to what the moon rainbow spiritually represents and what the rainbow itself means to the LGBTQ+ community. And regardless of any meaning, it's beautiful and joyful. It was quite a sight to witness.

The moonbow is also a natural wonder. Its spiritual significance invites you to trust your intuition, embrace transformation, and encourages one to feel harmonious energy with the universe. Hope, renewal, and connection is also represented by the moon rainbow, reminding us that light can emerge from darkness and bring peace.

The series of "Unpolished" is quite literal. Since I write the lyrics and sing background, it's not your typical studio-polished, experienced singer style album. I am a one woman show here.

Rather, it is me, background singing my words or created songs and telling my stories through the medium of song. They are perfectly imperfect, and I am okay with that.

These songs are from my collection of cognitive therapy songs. I sing to help my brain. I write because I have no choice in the matter. I've been writing for fifty years. It's in my blood. I share my songs because I find it to be joyful.

Born in the sixties, I grew up and am influenced by songs like "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" and "Where Have All the Flowers Gone".

I wouldn't call these songs protest songs. Although, songs of the times do tend to be put under that category, too. They are just fictional stories told through music that capture the pulse of the times.

Granted and as with most all art in any form, not everyone will relate to these songs, but there is something there for everyone -- no matter what side of the political spectrum one tends to be on. I, personally, am for humanity, kindness, love, dignity, and respect for any and all people. I'm the epitome of "Make Love, Not War."

[Disclaimer: This collection is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the product of the lyricist's imagination or are used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblances to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events are purely coincidental.]

PS: The A-Z is because the songs have been arranged in alphabetical order.

I am quite excited about this album, and I am proud of it, too. It is a 16-track album made up of a combination of folk, country and blues songs. It is enjoyable to listen to. It may pull at your heart strings some, and it's honest storytelling.

The cover art is a photo of unpolished me put to a photo my husband took in the mountains at high altitude. The title of "Unpolished" is a literal title. Since I write the lyrics and sing background, it's not your typical studio-polished, experienced singer style album. I am a one woman show here.

Rather, it is me, background singing my words and telling my stories through the medium of song. They are perfectly imperfect, and I am okay with that.

These songs are from my collection of cognitive therapy songs. I sing to help my brain. I write because I have no choice in the matter. I've been writing for fifty years. It's in my blood. I share my songs because I find it to be  joyful.

I may not be the best singer in the world, and I assure you I am not, but I am a pretty good lyricist, and I am doing my best to be as much a part of the music as I can be. My stories are good and they make for some pretty awesome songs that I share for others to enjoy...should they wish to. It's what I do.

TheAICR.com has my catalog of songs plus I upload all my new ones first to my radio station. The AICR is fun to listen to, enjoyable, and even though it is primarily folk and country, with a splash of country rock in there here and there, there are a few of my silly theatrical ones that I sing for the heck of it an to just have a little extra fun.

Thank you for being on this journey with me, and thank you for your support. Please, check out the album. Bookmark or save it to your Spotify account or Apple or what not, and please check out The AICR radio station. You may just like it. There's a little something there for everyone.

The AICR, A.I. Creative Radio The AICR, A.I. Creative Radio, 24/7 worldwide streaming radio station, will be A.I. inclusive. It is currently under construction, but ready for listening. :)

A.I. Assisted & A.I. Music is Welcome Here.*

Because I understand that I don't know other people's reasons for using A.I. or know their stories—and because it is not my place to judge or question someone else's art form—and because of my own reasons for using A.I., I thought it would be a good idea to try to bridge the divide. First, with getting my own songs uploaded to the station, and then with opening the station up for submissions (once I figure that out, too).

I have been transparent with the use of A.I as a tool, as an avenue to share my words through song and to just share my cognitive therapy songs with others who wish to enjoy them. (I battle MCI with writing, painting and singing.) While I am at it, I am also leaving behind a huge catalog of my songs, my words, my wisdom, my background voice and/or my voice for my children and for any future generations to enjoy—maybe even connect with. Honestly, that makes me ecstatic! I make no apology for using A.I. I am extremely grateful for it.

A.I. has not only helped me battle MCI, it has helped me and continues to help me learn to sing. It has also helped me learn the craft of songwriting. It's brought me joy, and it's brought me music. It’s also brought others joy or the feeling of being seen, understood, and/or not feeling alone in their own struggles. I cannot express how much I love that. It’s about connection. It’s about a hug, a smile, a dance, and even a few tears shared through my words, my songs, my performances.

**I am in the process of setting the station up. I do not know my way around it yet, and I am also in the process of getting my songs re-mixed and uploaded onto the station's platform. Once all of that is done, the plan is to open it up for submissions. *

I am still learning, still growing, and I am trying to be as much a part of the music as I can be. For me, personally, I feel that is important. That's just my personal preference though. I'm even re-learning the guitar and trying to learn piano. The goal, besides not ending up with dementia, is to fully compose and sing my own song(s) to the guitar I am playing.

(FYI: I have two songs that I fully composed and sang, and one I co-wrote and co-sang)

*When I do start to accept submissions, all music will be screened to see if it fits within this station's core values, genres and sound. Hate, bigotry, unkindness, and the like will not be tolerated. Station owner has the right to deny any songs that do not fit within this station's core values or its owner's personal taste. Main genres: folk, country, blues, indie, rock, pop, alternative, americana...

Thank you for your interest and time. If you like my songs, my storytelling, you may like listening to my songs without interruption. You’re invited to copy and paste this temporary (permanent, too) URL link into a separate browser. Be sure to save it.
